My husband comes home this morning with the daily papers and in one of the national dailies in the Classified Section countries like the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Holland, etc are crying out for welder/fabricators, which is what my husband is!! Yet how come this country hasnt got anything??? Our phone isnt exactly ringing off the hook from all the agencies around here offering my husband work!!! Its totally dead here!!

I have figured out why this country doesnt have work!! Its because this country is renowned worldwide as a place where theres shoddy workmanship and also this countrys prices are 2 high for the shitty workmanship it does!! This country is losing contracts left, right and center due 2 the fact that theres better manufacturing skills and more reasonable prices in other countries, as well as people get contracts finished in record time in other countries!!

This country is very quickly disappearing up its own shithole!!

Haven't you thought...although Bournemouth isnt the center of the welding universe, maybe its not where you live, maybe - just maybe its him who isnt good enough to get the work? You know no one owes you a living - if you want work you have to go and find it - not wait for someone in an agency to call you up - if you got up of your lazy as#$s and went and looked for it then he might be a little busier!!!

Well if he was trained by a Haliburton company he MUST be good - because they SO known for their virtuous business dealings aren't they?? Maybe there is work in Iraq for him - isnt that why uncle Dick invaded the country so haliburton could go over there and take all of the CONtracts???

Life will be just a bed of roses when you move back to the USA you know - the streets are paved with gold and wine flows freely for all of its citizens.

wow...this thread is intense.

Hey Gold319, i lived in England for 5 years and i was working crazy jobs making crap money as well but i endured it until it became unbearable. I'm not British but I never sponged off the state which I was able to if I wanted to. I toughed it out. When it became unbearable, I left. I wasn't about to get into a situation where I was going to complain all the time about how living in The UK was crap and all that cuz it was crap living there with the taxes and low standard of living. The system is bigger than me in The UK and I wasn't about to fight it. So I left.

Maybe you should try and accelerate your move to the USA.

Sponging is when u dont work because u dont want 2 and grab all the benefits this country offer u and get offered free council housing cos u, a moronic useless low-life bum, mindlessly keeps producing kid after kid, yet a Gulf War hero comes back from Iraq and him and his family cant get housing OR ANY KIND OF HELP HERE so they have 2 shack up with his mother in laws!!! Just shows u who this country thinks more of, doesnt it?? This country has its priorities all screwed up!!! The USA looks after its war heroes far better than they do here!!
