ice storm about 2 weeks ago we had a horrible snow/freezing rain storm. when i woke up the next morning it looked as though God had sprinkled the world with crystals. the sun was shining and gleaming off the trees and everything was so beautiful. i decided to try my luck at capturing it on my new camera. hope you enjoy
E. what a little frozen water can do to make the world seem beautiful again... you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel

Those are such pretty pictures!
We have "inversions" here. High fronts trap all the gunk in the air so it is foggy for 10 straight days give or take. As gloomy as that is, it makes the PRETTIEST frost on everything. I'm firmly planted in denial

i agree, they can be very pretty
but here, we get such nasty ice storms that the trees start falling on houses, cars, whatever... power lines ripped out i think its been 2 winters ago now that we went 8 full days without power that was truely difficult to deal with. its pretty to look at, but they sure are dangerous. One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

We just had snow, freezing rain, sleet and ice yesterday. It was not fun. Now the streets are covered in ice, sinbce the temperature is so low. I can't wait for spring!

These pictures kind of remind me of some pictures I took of some trees after a wet sticky snowfall. It was a real gloomy day but the trees look so pretty.
