While I'm sure they will glady accept your donations, I think this whole thing is a joke. It grabs peoples attention, and gets alot of buzz. I really doubt they will actually kill the rabbit. | |

Whilst not finding the whole premise of 'Save Toby' overtly funny nor sickening, it is to some extent clever in that it addresses our hysteria and demented attitude towards animal cruelty. Those of us have been duped into believing that the website is real...check the payment section for a start.
On the face of it, sure, the website is objectionable and deliberately provocative but it evidently highlights our society which is oft governed by emotionalism, thuggery, humbug and general dim-wittedness. If I had designed the website, I may have had a an 'evilometer'. A poll like chart whereby I'd ask visitors to the site on a scale of one to 10 on how 'evil' it would be to kill one animal against another. The site owner is clearly mocking our morality. Whether you agree such a site is a good thing or not is of course a matter of choice. And of course this is merely one interpretation of it. I guess you might say that I am being cynical and insensitive. But man cannot live by irony and parody alone. The owner of this website has done us all a favour. Although this site has spread much cynicism, I hope that it has generated a good dose of scepticism, too. | |
