I don't really go there much anymore. I filled my hard drive up and need to archive some stuff to CD before I go back. It was weird not having a computer for a few days. It was like having a stroke. I couldn't function properly. It was as if half my brain was missing.

My brother had his computer stop working on him a while back. I mean totally dead. So, he gave it to me. I bought a new power supply for it, and I still have the computer today and running smooth. [Edited 3/6/05 19:46pm]

whatever happend with your neighbor, her pet snake, that little girl, and the locked apt? :nosey: Well, the local council came and cleared out the neighbouring apartment about five weeks ago whilst I was out at work. Later that day, the crack-dealer upstairs was walking past me outside our block but she suddenly stopped and turned to talk to me. It was a bit weird because she's never said anything other than "hello" in the past. She told me that the RSPCA had knocked on her door upstairs during the day. They had found the snake and wanted to know whom had left it there. It had gone into hibernation behind a radiator and was still alive - thank God. Since then, a nice new couple have moved in. He's called Keith and he's in his early twenties - but normal. I have no idea what his girlfriend's called. She looks a little bit "Velma", if you know what I mean. They spent four weeks decorating the place before they moved in last week. I've got Keith a job as a temp at the place where I work. I mean, I got him an interview and he passed the interview. He starts this morning. We're probably the only two people on my street with jobs - legitimate jobs. I saw one of the teenage pot-heads in a pub the other week, so I bought him a drink and had a chat with him. He said that he's living back at home and trying to get his life together. He still looked a bit bog-eyed though. So, all's well that ends well, I suppose.

It was a power surge on the electricity grid. It blew up the power supply inside. You can buy surge-protectors for about £9.99 but I've never gotten around to buying one. I'm going to get one next payday. You know like when you're sat in your living room and the lights suddenly get a little brighter and dim again? Well, that's more than enough power to blow up your PC. They only run off 300 watts. I had no idea. That's only the same as three 100 watt lightbulbs.
