The title of my CD is "Fluid". With this disc I have invoked my spirit. Water....the trademark of my sign. Pisces is often viewed as the last sign of the zodiac but the zodiac is a complete circle. Therefore it is not the last sign but the sign that precedes the first. The collective of everything before it and the womb that continues the cycle. We Pisceans tend to be psychic in nature and connected to those around us. Many mistake our emotional depth as weakness, but we are strong.

The earth is about 70% water and so are you. Water is everywhere. It's in the ground, in the air. All creations need this colorless, odorless, tasteless elixir of life.The earth's underwater paradise relies on Oxygen, without it there would be no air and without it there would be no water. Everything connected, a cycle of it's own.....

Earth, the blue planet shares a bond with it's sister Venus. Many see it in the nightskies and mistake it for a star.....it shines so bright. The planet representing the Goddess of Love is cloaked in clouds and shines her water as fire. The oceans have eternally been at the mercy of the moon, their tides ebbing and flowing, fluctuating from the power and pull of Earth's only daughter.

Let me tell you about a dream I had....

I was at home and opened the backdoor. Instead of my yard, there was nothing but water as far as the eye could see. I became alarmed because I thought we had a flood. I ran to the front door and when I opened it instead of my frontyard, there was sand. It was the beach! I walked out onto the sand and smelled the warm salty air. It was a perfect day. Sunny, some clouds to add character to the sky. And I walked out to the water and saw the most amazing thing. People were out there riding dolphins and whales! The creatures were leaping out of the water and crashing back in and people were on their backs laughing in delight.

I swam out and rode with them. It was the most amazing feeling. I was so so happy on the back of a dolphin and I rode the waves with my hands in the air, laughing and crying at how happy I was. It was a glimpse of heaven.....

Track 14 conjures up feelings of sadness and happiness all at once It reminds me of one of the happiest times in my life and a dream as well....

In the dream I'm standing with a group of about 100 people on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. I am in the very front and as yet have not seen anyone that I'm standing with. I am listening as the leader of our group explains what we are witnessing out on the ocean. He was explaining that the world was going to end today and that there was a giant volcano under the ocean that would create the largest earthquake the earth has ever seen.

As I'm listening to this explanation I am seeing that little patches of ocean were exuding smoke from the water. The patches got bigger and bigger and started connecting until smoke was coming off the entire ocean as far as you could see. Then in similar fashion small patches of fire appeared and the patches got bigger and bigger and connected until the entire ocean was ablaze.

I was scared because it was obvious that the end of the world was here. For the entire ocean to turn to fire, you knew that cataclysm was near. I turned from the ocean sight and saw that my parents were in the group. I did not know they were there!! I ran to them and started crying, telling them that I was not ready to die and that I was scared. My mom hugged me and then french kissed me and then my dad did the same. They told me not to be scared and that we were together and that was all that mattered. The kisses weren't sexual but rather innocent and comforting.

We all walked to a concrete building that was near the edge of the cliff. The building had only a door and 1 small window on each wall, which was located right below the ceiling. We all filed in and prepared to die.

I woke up before the world ended...

The happiest time I refered to regarding track 14 is regarding a relationship I had with someone I loved more than anyone I've ever loved. It was early in our relationship and we tried to go to a concert and it turned into a big fiasco cuz there were about 10,000 people and about 2000 parking spots! So we scrapped that idea and headed towards the beach. We sat on a beach bench and talked and connected while looking out on the ocean. That was simply such a happy moment for me. I think of the dream and that moment of happiness whenever I llisten to this song "The Sea".

The lyrics in the last song are so important to me as they represent truth and express the deeply emotional side of me, always reflecting, always yearning, always loving and sometimes fearing.

We always have a choice, or at least I think we do.
We can always use our voice, I thought this to be true.
We can live in fear.....extend ourselves to love.....or we can fall below.....or lift ourselves above.
Fear can stop you loving, love can stop your fear.
Fear can stop you loving, but it's not always that clear....."

Whether you're Swimming in love or standing by the Sea of Destiny, let this disc refresh your spirit and set you sailing.

Easy to see why you won first place, dude. GREAT mix. My Name is Alive?? VERY cool. I actually saw them in concert last year. The show sucked, but I dig their music.

His Name Is Alive has an album called "Someday My blues will cover the Earth" That chicks voice is amazing and yes that song fit in very very well with the disc

I thought that my submission would probably not sound like any of the other mixes. I certainly haven't heard anything similar from the contestants.

"Someday My Blues" is a GREAT disc!! I collect albums from the 4AD label, so I'm very familiar with His Name is Alive. Plus, they're from Livonia, Mich., which is even cooler, since I lived in an adjacent city (Dearborn) for 5 years.

My submission didn't have a set theme, which I think hurt its chances at winning. I tried to make it as eclectic as I could--I know Borgman and CarrieMPLS were impressed.

I knew going into this thing that I probably wouldn't top the Great Supa. We have a mutual friend who RAVES about your mix CDs.
