Okay..... I alreay decided what I'm gonna do but I thought I'd ask around.....


This morning the postman delievered a card to my house. Now it's not for me, it not even for anyone that lives in my street. Somehow they got it totally mixed up with another house of the same number, but in the same postal district.

Now... I happen to know that there's money in there, or a voucher or something. Sooooo

Do you

a) Hand deliver the letter yourself?

or

b) Open it and take the rewards.. after all, no-one has the faintest idea where it is do they?

Actually, I'd take option 3 - write "delivered to wrong address" on the envelope and leave it for the postman to pick up and deliver correctly. I used to have the worst postal person delivering my stuff and I frequently received random neighbors' mail and they, mine. I finally decided I wasn't correcting their mistakes any longer. harrumph.

If the envelope came in the mail with no address and you had no way of knowing who that money belonged to, that would be different. But the fact that you do have the information to return the money to the rightful owner makes you responsible to the karma police
