I know this probably seems silly but here it goes.....My husband is in the Air Force and was just sent to Iraq. I have spent the last 3 weeks since he left on here reading all the posts and actually forgetting to worry a little. You people have taken my mind off of things as much as possible and I just wanted to see if I'd get any response from this. Kind of my pathetic way of cheering myself up. I know none of us are really friends but I have learned a little about each of you by reading some of the things you say. Like I know who has the wittiest sense of humor, who will let you have it and who is just sarcastic as hell. Hopefully it isn't too much to ask my new org friends to just add a msg. saying hey or something. Or for that matter post a response telling me to go to hell. ( I know who you are !!) Thanks for listening and making the 6 months my hubby will be gone better.

Not to make light of your sitch, but I had a decent time over there, make sure to send him cash to mail you some of the coolest rugs you'll ever see, no foolin. Wish I had of taken advantage of it. Also send him boxers or baggie boxer briefs; the boys get a little uncomfortable in the 120+ degree heat.

Thanks all!! And to reply to a few things: I too had to put my politics aside when he said he had orders to go to Iraq, (our ideas didn't really match up on that one). Also, I agree I think it is difficult to feel bad for a person you've never met but their situation is easier to feel for. I mean everyone understands lonely, sad and hopeless. I didn't want to bring anyone down. I just wanted to lift myself up, with some help & this shameless request for attention. Now I need to think about what kind of rug I want. Thanks to all the kind thoughts and if any of you ever need attention in return... holla at ur gurl!
