Anyone like Murals??

I was looking for some pics and came across a site that has a bunch of the murals we have in Winnipeg. Winnipeg is a big city that is full of culture and is huge into music and the arts....heres the page with some of the murals you'd see wandering around the city smile

I find them a bit eery for some reason, mind you, the only place I ever saw them was in Northern Ireland where a good part of them are political and aggressive. There was somewhat a bit of a contract I noticed between the murals in the Catholic and Protestant provinces...

Down the Protestant, hardline Shankill Road, a great deal of the murals were aggressive...

...wheras the Catholic murals in the Ardoyne portrayed romantic images of Ireland...

This is only based on memory and does not reflect my thoughts and opinions on the issues but merely an observation. I do hope that the people of Northern Ireland find peace soon.

Here are some pics of the Intermedia arts building in Mpls. It's one of my favorite little buildings cause it always has some great graffiti murals on it.
