yesterday in the morning i received a phonecall from a friend. he had found this friend of ours dead in his bed after they had a wild night of sex. he had taken GHB.

i went there right away.it was like a bad movie. the police was there.

i won't tell you all the details... it hurts real bad.

what i wanna ask you guys, does any of you have some experience with the drug GHB or even with some fatal accidents because of it? it may shed some light on this nightmare.

I'm sorry, that is AWFUL stuff. I fortunately have not known someone who's had a FATAL overdose, at times I've known way too many people who've done the drug though.

GHB is basically a rape drug like roofies but liquid. GHB started out, believe it or not, as a body building drug because of all the amino acids it contains. I've know a lot of people that have done this drug and all they do is sit there and stare into space. I don't know what the selling point of this drug is.

I really feel for you, I'm helping out at a re-hab centre right now (making tea mostly) And i find it sad the amount of GHB users there are....

it is a dangerous drug colourless, odour less and tasteless. I have already in my sort time at the centre heard stories of users who return home to find out they have "lost there clothes" while out, covered in bruises and with evidence of sexual activity. The drug makes you loose your inhabitions and behave in a way that makes you an easy target and prone to perform reckless actions if prompted almost robot like, anything can seem like a good idea.

i really hope you can come to terms with it, it's hard losing a close friend especially through something preventable.

I fucking hate drugs, there's nothing cool about them!

Oh my God I'm so sorry to hear this Dawn. I have no idea if it's popular where I'm at cuz I don't do drugs or run with people who do. If I'm not mistaken people take it as a relaxent? I would never take this stuff. No way.

This is terrible news, I'm sorry about your loss. This kind of stuff seems to just happen out of the blue and can be very disorienting.

Alot of people seem to think of GHB as being not that big of a deal, more or less just like smoking weed, but it can really mess you up.

My friend and I both had this shit put in our drinks several years ago. He wandered outside of the bar and fell over in a nearby patch of weeds, thank goodness someone noticed him as they were leaving. I had to be carried out of the bar, and luckily a buddy of mine brought me to his place to stay because I couldnt move. A couple of years later, word got around who had been doing that and they banned him from the bar.
