Euro / US conversion

Please, help a suffering fan. I have a DVD that is in PAL (euro) format and need to convert to (NTSC) US format. Any suggestions?

Good point. Sorry!

The whole compatability issue is quite a complex one, but I won't get out of my depth here....

Anyway, sorry!

The DVD is only a couple of months old. I read the manual and it seems like it should play. The only thing I noticed was the PAL on the cover art.

Usually the problem is not whether it's PAL or NTSC as most new dvd players can handle both. Region locking is usually what causes problems.

I'll check for that. Is there any way around regional coding?

Actually its not - you can pick up a stand alone DVD recorder these days for little over $120 and it will gladly accept video connections from NTSC and PAL video's /tivo / video camera's, / PC output/ etc etc etc . so you can convert all your media such as video's to your hearts content for pennies a disc.
