Anywayz, my grandma used to take him food he liked- and another old man who was next to him in his ward liked da smell of da food so my grandfather used 2 share it wif him. Apparently he said "Don't worry mate, when we're out of here we can eat all the curry and rice we like!!!" my poor dada No hablo espanol,no!

This song, primarily because of the emotion in Des'ree's voice. The scene in Romeo & Juliet in which it was featured was also amazing.....
I'm Kissing You Pride can stand a thousand trials, The strong will never fall But watching stars without you, My soul cried Heaving heart is full of pain, Oh, oh, the aching 'Cos I'm kissing you, oh, I'm kissing you, oh Touch me deep, pure and true, Gift to me forever 'Cos I'm kissing you, oh, I'm kissing you, oh Where are you now? Where are you now? 'Cos I'm, oh I'm kissing you, I'm kissing you, oh, ohhhh!

nakedpianoplayer said: ive talked before about when i had my first baby that i gave up for adoption...
but, the last time i saw her in the hospital before i left... i tried so hard to wake her up, i just wanted to say goodbye the best i could, my heart was breaking and i just needed one more moment with her. the nurses tried to help.. they used a wet tissue on her lil feet, tickled her feet, unwrapped her from her blanket... nothing was working, she was just to tuckered out i know that i heard the music that was playing in there, but i wasnt focused on it really at the time. i asked the nurses to please tell her when she woke that her momma loved her so much, and that she would never be forgotten, and would always be in my heart... with that, i left but, on the way out.... i heard the song that was playing, it was AGAINST ALL ODDS by phil collins... and the words are haunting to this day - How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh You’re the only one who really knew me at all How can you just walk away from me, When all I can do is watch you leave Cos we’ve shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the tears You’re the only one who really knew me at all So take a look at me now, oh there’s just an empty space And there’s nothing left here to remind me, Just the memory of your face Ooh take a look at me now, well there’s just an empty space And you coming back to me is against all odds and that’s what I’ve got to face I wish I could just make you turn around, Turn around and see me cry There’s so much I need to say to you, So many reasons why You’re the only one who really knew me at all So take a look at me now, well there’s just an empty space And there’s nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face Now take a look at me now, cos there’s just an empty space But to wait for you, is all I can do and that’s what I’ve got to face Take a good look at me now, cos I’ll still be standing here And you coming back to me is against all odds It’s the chance I’ve gotta take Take a look at me now sorry, i heard the song today, it didnt feel good.... i needed to share Now I am bawling my eyes out I am going to be crying every time I hear this song, oh NPP, I am feeling for you so much. I've always cried when I hear "This Woman's Work" Kate Bush

DANCE WITH MY FATHER by Luther Vandross.
The lyrics at the end of the song is what really gets me: Sometimes I'd listen outside her door And I hear how Mama would cry for him I'd pray for her even more than me, I pray for her even more than me I know I'm praying for much too much, but could you send back The only man she loved I know you don't do it usually But dear Lord she's dying to dance with my father again Everynight I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream My name is BISCUIT...and I am funky!

"Adore" by Prince (especially at the end of the song when he starts singing in that high falsetto voice, it's all over for me).
"Come Back" by Prince (this song makes me sad, can't help but to think that Prince wrote this song for the child that he lost). "My Immortal" by Evanescence (can't listen to this song without crying, when it came out, I was going through a difficult time in my life). "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle (OMG, this song makes me absolutely bawl, I can't even listen to it anymore!). "Hero" by Mariah Carey (another song that gets me). "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey/Boys to Men (another song that makes me emotional, it reminds me of family members who I have passed on). "Truly" by Lionel Ritchie (great song for a wedding, but if I had it my wedding, I would start crying like an idiot!). "Through the Eyes of Love" by Melissa Manchester (from the movie Ice Castles. A lot of people have this song during the wedding ceremony, another song that absolutely makes me bawl my eyes out!). "Silent Night" by Mannheim Steamroller (as soon as I hear the violins and the piano, it's all over for me). I'm sure there's more, but these are the songs that come to my mind right now. It's cool that music can touch us the way that it does, gotta love it! [Edited 3/4/05 5:13am] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

heybaby said: the "song for mama" by Boys II Men always gets me. it makes me think about just how much mothers love their kids and what we give up for them.
You taught me everything And everything you’ve given me I always keep it inside You’re the driving force in my life, yeah There isn’t anything Or anyone I can be And it just wouldn’t feel right If I didn’t have you by my side You were there for me to love and care for me When skies were grey Whenever I was down You were always there to comfort me And no one else can be what you have been to me You’ll always be you always will be the girl In my life for all times Chorus: Mama, mama you know I love you Oh you know I love you Mama, mama you’re the queen of my heart Your love is like Tears from the stars Mama, I just want you to know Lovin’ you is like food to my soul You’re always down for me Have always been around for me even when I was bad You showed me right from my wrong Yes you did And you took up for me When everyone was downin’ me You always did understand You gave me strength to go on There was so many times Looking back when I was so afraid And then you come to me And say to me I can face anything And no one else can do What you have done for me You’ll always be You will always be the girl in my life Chorus

It's a country song by some guy named Billy Currington. I took care of my best friend's two year old last year while his father was in jail and his mother was on drugs. I can't listen to this without crying.
Walk A Little Straighter Daddy I remember looking up To look up to him And I remember most the time He wasn’t there I’d be waiting at the door When he got home at night He’d pass me by to go to pass out in his chair And I’d say Walk a little straighter daddy You’re swaying side to side You’re footsteps make me dizzy And no matter how I try I keep tripping and stumbling If you’d look down here you’d see Walk a little straighter daddy You’re leading me He stumbled in the gym On graduation day And I couldn’t help but feel So ashamed And I wasn’t surprised a bit When he didn’t stay He stumbled out before they called my name And I thought Walk a little straighter daddy You’re swaying side to side It’s not just me who’s watching you’ve caught everybody’s eye And you’re tripping and stumbling and even though I’ve turned 18 Walk a little straighter daddy You’re still leading me The old mans still like he always was But I love him anyway If I’ve learned one thing from him Its my kids will never have to say Walk a little straighter daddy You’re swaying side to side You’re footsteps make me dizzy And no matter how I try I keep tripping and stumbling if you’d look down here you’d see Walk a little straighter daddy You’re leading me Yeah walk a little straighter daddy You’re leading me
