Euro / US conversion Please, help a suffering fan. I have a DVD that is in PAL (euro) format and need to convert to (NTSC) US format. Any suggestions? | |

I think most DVD Players now play both formats now!! | |

Maybe he doesnt realize that his DVD Player can play both formats!! I was just suggesting this 2 save him some money!!
I know with converting of videos it can b a very expensive process!!! | |

The DVD is only a couple of months old. I read the manual and it seems like it should play. The only thing I noticed was the PAL on the cover art. | |

you can buy players that have built in pal converters. id just have a look at google and see what comes up. | |

Usually the problem is not whether it's PAL or NTSC as most new dvd players can handle both. Region locking is usually what causes problems. | |

Actually its not - you can pick up a stand alone DVD recorder these days for little over $120 and it will gladly accept video connections from NTSC and PAL video's /tivo / video camera's, / PC output/ etc etc etc . so you can convert all your media such as video's to your hearts content for pennies a disc. | |
