George Bush: Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down? Psyche, this is a thread about Hunter Thompson.
Obit of Hunter S. Thompson: The eXile I know there were already some threads on Thompson's death back when it happened, but this isn't about the news of it or the shock that must still be wearing off. It's about the legacy, about the "What next?" The eXile is the "What next?" It has been for some time. Those guys write like motherfuckers. There's a lot that is objectionable about how they say what they say or vice versa, but there's more good there than in a lot of what you are probably faced with daily. Browse the archives. Especially the articles by the "War Nerd" Gary Brecher. Anything by him. Work your way through it. Then check and see if they have the "March Madness" articles archived from several years back. Yes, speed. I'll say it again, since this crucial word seems to have been left out of every obituary I've read: speed.
