WART
circumscribed outgrowth of the skin caused by a filterable virus that is readily transmitted. Warts may appear anywhere on the skin but are most common on the hands. Sexually transmitted diseases and human papillomavirus produce warts in the genital area; these are often precancerous growths. Some warts disappear spontaneously; others persist for many years. However, there is also a tendency to develop new lesions. Warts are treated by surgical excision (sometimes by electrocautery), bloodless removal by freezing with liquid nitrogen, or repeated applications of ointments or creams. Those on the soles of the feet (plantar warts) are the most painful and most difficult to treat, since on pressure-bearing areas they may become depressed beneath the surface of the skin

genital warts

(HPV), any of a family of more than 60 viruses that cause various growths, including plantar warts and genital warts, a sexually transmitted disease. Detectable warts can be or removed, usually by chemicals, freezing, or laser, but often recur. Intralesional alpha interferon has been effective in the treatment of genital warts. Genital warts, sometimes called condylomata acuminata, are soft and often occur in clusters. They can occur internally or externally, but even in the absence of warts the virus may be present and transmittable. Problems can result from untreated warts, which can grow quite large, or, in rare cases, from infection of an infant during delivery. In addition, certain strains of HPV are associated with cancer of the cervix, vulva, vagina, and penis. HPV 16 has been shown to be associated with some forms of Kaposi's sarcoma

Body Wart Care is an all natural and organic topical solution proven to quickly eradicate warts without pain or scarring. Body Wart Care is derived from certified organic anti viral plant extracts, the quality of which is flawless with unsurpassed results. This treatment exhibits the highest level of anti viral activity against HPV, the virus causing warts, as supported by published scientific data. Results guaranteed.

Recent published medical studies established that application of Body Wart Care extracts to the wart virus (HPV) "resulted in significant destruction of HPV cells as evident from DNA tests…."

As a result, the anti-viral properties in Body Wart Care have the demonstrated ability to destroy the wart virus upon exposure and prevent relapse. Body Wart Care eliminates the presence and formation of warts and wart-like substances on the skin without acid or invasive surgery.

Medicine is placing more and more trust and value in organic plant-derived medicinal extracts for specific viral conditions such as HPV. Studies from American Universities establish quantitative proof that application of the active compounds in Body Wart Care "inhibited skin papillomas (HPV) and decreased the conversion of papillomas to carcinomas" when applied topically and provided "significant disintegration (apoptosis) of HPV cells in DNA tests."

It has further been established that the extracts in Body Wart Care reduce cancerous tumor growths which can result from HPV. In addition to specific antiviral properties of this product, it is highly antibacterial and shown to have an immuneostimulant function which heightens your body's immune system and defense parameters.

Are Warts Contagious?
Simply touching a wart on someone doesn't guarantee that you'll get one, too. But the viruses that cause warts are passed from person to person by close physical contact. (You can't, however, get a wart from holding a frog or toad, as your child might have wondered!)

A tiny cut or scratch can make any area of skin more vulnerable to warts. Also, if your child picks at a wart, it can spread to other parts of the body.

The length of time between when a person is exposed to the virus that causes warts and when a wart appears varies. However, warts can grow very slowly and may take weeks or longer, in some cases, to develop.

Can Warts Be Prevented?
Although there's no way to prevent warts, it's always a good idea to encourage kids to wash their hands and skin regularly and well. If your child cuts or scratches his or her skin, be sure to use soap and water to clean the area because open wounds are more susceptible to warts and other infections.

It's also wise to have your child wear waterproof sandals or flip-flops in public showers, locker rooms, and around public pools (this can help protect against plantar warts and other infections, like athlete's foot, too).

How Long Do Warts Last?
About 25% of warts are gone in about 6 months without treatment, but most go away in 2 to 3 years. With treatment, warts may be removed more quickly, but can return if the virus isn't completely removed from the skin.

How Are Warts Treated?
Warts don't generally cause any problems, so it's not always necessary to have them removed, unless you have concerns (see the section on When Should I Call My Child's Doctor?). Another reason to treat warts is to prevent them from spreading further.

Doctors have different ways of removing warts, including:

using prescription medications to put on the wart
burning the wart off (using a light electrical current)
freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen (called cryosurgery)
using laser treatment (which works very well for plantar warts or other warts that are more difficult to remove)
Within a few days after the doctor's treatment, the wart may fall off, but several treatments are sometimes necessary. Doctors don't usually cut off the wart, because it can cause scarring and the wart may return.

If your older child has a simple wart on the finger, talk to your child's doctor about using an over-the-counter wart remedy containing mild acids that help remove the wart. The medicine comes in either a liquid form that's painted on the skin or as a patch that sticks onto the wart. This treatment can take several weeks or months before you see results, but eventually, the wart should crumble away from the healthy skin.

However, wart medicines contain strong chemicals and should be used with care because they can also damage areas of healthy skin. Never use over-the-counter wart medicine on the face or genitals.

It's also important to make sure your child:

soaks the wart in warm water and removes dead skin on the surface of the wart with an emery board before applying the medicine
keeps the area of the wart covered while the medicine works
knows not to rub, scratch, or pick at it to avoid spreading the virus to another part of the body or causing the wart to become infected
