lets talk about porn im serious. im doing my project 4 a class, and my topic is the objectification of women in adult entertainment, so i was hoping 2 get some of ur guys opinions on porn...so any feelings u have on porn, this is the place 2 let em out.
if u guys wouldnt mind sharing ur opinions, it would be greatly appreciated. as if this isnt fun enough, i have 2 go find strippers 2 talk 2...so if u know any of them, that would help 2 :wishful thinking: thanks "...took my sex and my money...took all my self esteem...had the nerve 2 think it was funny...i never knew a bitch so mean"

"objectification of women in adult entertainment"
Adult entertainment isn't necessarily porn and the men are even bigger objects in porn than the women. No one gives a fuck what the guys look like as long as they stay hard and pop on command.

If you want to talk to strippers, walk into a strip club and say hi. I've found them to be rather nice.
Second, go see the new documentary "Inside Deep Throat". It includes a pretty interesting account of the history of the porn industry, and the phenomenon that was Deep Throat. As far as objectification of women, one of the things that the Deep Throat flick made me think about was how women's rights may not have progressed as far in the 70s, but women in porn were at least individual characters. In porn today, they are all interchangable t&a, no individuality, no sexual substance beyond having the right bits. . .BOOOORRRIIINNNGG, and insulting to everybody involved.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. The porn industry is much bigger these days and porn movies have changed a lot. There are still only a handful of top performers. Sure they don't do a lot of acting anymore, but I have to say the sexual performances are a lot better these days. Is porn boring? Perhaps, but I don't think it's meant to keep you on the edge of your seat for 2 hrs. Insert dvd, chapters, pic the girl you like, watch, get off and get on with your life.

browse around groups.yahoo.com. Many porn stars have groups devoted to them on there, and will post directly answering fans questions.
Brandon Iron and Jack Lawrence as well as Julian Rios have groups that they themselves actually participate in. Steve Hooper at steevehooper4u.com also answers alot of questions and chats openly about the industry.

I think some of the concerns re: porn and objectification are still relevant. While women are being paid and treated better and are able to make their own choices in the porn industry rather than being pimped out by their boyfriends/managers, it's still a fact that almost all porn stars (and dancers) have a history of sexual abuse and/or drug and alcohol abuse. The link isn't an accident.
I've also read some concerns that early use of pornography by boys links sex and women to unrealistic images, and this could cause problems for guys when faced with "real" girls and women outside of their fantasy porn world. Don't get me wrong--I'm not anti-porn at all. But I think it's good to examine it and take a look at all of the messages, good and not-so-good, as well as how an individual uses it.

I don't think porn as a whole is demeaning to women, but certain individual flicks can be.
My bigger concern lies with the unrealistic view of women and female beauty (and even male beauty, to a lesser extent) that people can develop from viewing porn. I've spoken to guys who obviously watch a lot of porn with fake boobs and bald pussies, becase when they see natural breasts the guys think they're saggy and soft, and that any hair at all is gross and unfeminine. I find the "good" porn to be quite boring for the most part, and the bad stuff downright laughable. Honestly, I get more out of a well-done sex scene on TV or in a movie. Not to mention my own imagination -nothing on film can top that; it's got exactly who I want doing what I want when I want. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I think hair is gross too. The "unrealistic view of female beauty" as you call it is also caused by the mainstream media. Other than the fake boobs (which seem to be way more popular in North American porn than European porn) I don't see how any of it is a problem really. There are plenty of porn stars who are not exceptionally beautiful.

It's interesting how many straight and gay women are watching men on men films. I think it's great. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop!
