Yesterday was a good day.

We had previously thought our house was going to be compulsorily bought back by the government in 2 or 3 years, but learned yesterday that this is not now the case. We also had a new air-conditioning unit put in, which is working beautifully. I had a great sleep last night too, and now that we can stay here I'm continuing my plans to extend our balcony to make a relaxing area to lounge around in, with mats, reclining chairs, low wooden Japanese table, sink, mini fridge for cold drinks, and music all hooked up.

That's why I'll be walking around all day today looking like this.
