My dad told me this over the phone not too long ago... I forget exactly what prompt this poem, years after I am sure he even remembered it existed. 
I am going through some papers and just came acrossed this... I had him write it down for me a few weeks ago. My rambling days are over The old pilot light is out What used to be my sex appeal Is now my water spout It used to make me embarrassed To make that thing behave For every single morning It stood up to watch me shave But now that I've grown older It sure gives me the blues To see that thing hang down my legs And watch me tie my shoes My dad is going to be 80 this May.  Beautiful soul he is (best friend), fantastic humor... and a big/important part of my life.
