The Real Great Org 2005 CD Mix-Off and Yesssss! There's A Prize In This One This is a real contest and there is a prize which is:
A rare photo of prince mounted (24x24) in a gold frame... a beautiful item for your collection. this is for sure an excellent prize to win. How to enter: The existing contestants who has entered The Great Org 2005 CD Mix-Off can enter in this one and all you have to do is: send your entry (your name) to me and then submit your existing theme mix download link to each judge that i have listed on the panel here: Judges bangalloveryou Eversolesa NothinButJoy Dreamrockin NakedPianoPlayer Contestants contestant names list Contest closes on Monday, Feb 28 2005. make sure you have your theme mix submitted in time. the judges will send me their favorable theme mix and I will add up who has won the most votes and post the winner's name here on Tues March 1st 2005. a winning contestant should be rewarded dearly for its hard work, don't you agree? | |

OK, this is bullshit.
There doesn't need to be another Mix-Off contest. Many of us who entered have to compile our mixes the old-fashioned way...namely burning one CD-R at a time. Do you realize how fucking LONG that takes? Especially if you're making five of them. We can't "post a link" to our MP3s. This Mix-Off has snowballed into a complete clusterfuck. Applekisses busted her ass to coordinate it, did a great job...but the judges AND the contestants fucked it up. We had judges and contestants signing up, then dropping out; idiot contestants jumping the gun and revealing their mixes prematurely; and the dolts at the U.S. Postal Service proving that international mail service is subpar. We don't NEED another Mix-Off. We need people to get their shit together. Judges, you've received your mixes. Listen to 'em, rack up the scores and proclaim a winner. This isn't that fucking complicated. Beeeeeyaawwtch! | |

hey just so you all know..... i didnt intend to 'ruin' any of the fun or excitement about the contest. really, i nor the others that posted our mixes thought that it would become such a big deal  we were told to wait to post them, we waited till after the date we were supposed to.... didnt see the real harm in it. the idea was to make an original mix of music to have others listen to and see who liked what... as far as influencing the others.... i think folks are strong enough to make up their own minds about what they like
again, it was not to cause an org drama... it was just to share... sorry for the problems

If you sincerely wanted to avoid causing Org drama, can I suggest that next time you leave out the commentary on the "silliness" of the contest, opinions of the "impatience" of the judges, talk of how "unfair" it all is, and exaggerating how many times the original deadline has been moved back...lol...it would have come across as far more genuine if you had left all that extra shtuff out and simply said "Now that it's the 18th, here are some mixes if you're interested".
