Lindsay's Parent Death Trap?

Thu Feb 24, 2:55 PM ET

We're thinking Lindsay Lohan must be reaching her limit on the amount of drama one teenage queen can endure.

As the divorce battle between the Freaky Friday star's parents gains momentum, allegations have surfaced that her father, Michael Lohan, terrorized his family and threatened to kill them.

The accusations, contained in Dina Lohan's divorce papers filed last month in Nassau County Superior Court, were revealed Thursday by the New York Daily News.

According to the documents, Michael Lohan, who has faced a number of well publicized run-ins with the law, told the family's security guard that he had devised a plan to do away with his wife and children.

"O.J. Simpson has nothing on me," Lindsay's paternal figure allegedly told the guard last year. "I know exactly how I'm going to kill [them]. I know when I'm going to do it and I'm going to enjoy it."

If his wife's allegations are to be believed, referencing Simpson was something of a recurring theme for Michael Lohan.

According to the court documents, Michael Lohan told two family friends in fall 2003 that if he ever caught "Dina with another man, O.J. Simpson will have nothing on me."

Dina Lohan, a former Radio City Rockette, further alleges that her estranged husband was a philanderer who frequently abused her. She is suing him for alimony, full custody of the children and $1 million in damages.

Last May, per Dina Lohan's petition, Michael Lohan tried to toss her down a flight of stairs and slammed her arm in a door before forcing her into the basement where he allegedly sodomized her against her will. No police report was ever filed on the incident.

In July, Dina Lohan alleges that Michael Lohan threw himself in front of her car in the family's driveway and screamed to the couple's two youngest children, "If Mommy leaves Daddy, I'm going to hang myself in the garage!"

Michael Lohan has also reportedly made a nuisance of himself at several of his famous daughter's public appearances, depite being under a protection order to keep his distance.

Last spring, he allegedly followed the family to a press junket in Los Angeles where he created a scene by chasing one of his children from the room and scaring another child and Lindsay's publicist into taking shelter in a closet.

In addition, Michael Lohan has become well acquainted with New York's finest over the past 14 months.

He was arrested in December 2003 for socking a Manhattan sanitation worker who was allegedly blocking his car and later pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to anger management courses.

In June 2004, Michael Lohan was arrested again--this time after striking his brother-in-law with a shoe at a family celebration.

Later that same month, the celebrity pop was nabbed yet again for allegedly skipping out on a $3,384 hotel bill; he wrote the arrest off to a misunderstanding caused by a bad credit card.

Then in November 2004, Michael Lohan allegedly ignored the order of protection his wife had obtained against him by approaching Dina and Lindsay at a soccer game. He was taken into custody and released without bail, only to repeat the performance by showing up at the family's home two weeks later, at which point he was held on $1 million bail.

In December, Michael Lohan was sentenced to 28 days in rehab and ordered to keep his distance from his entire brood. As soon as he emerged from treatment, Dina Lohan slapped him with divorce papers.

However, Lindsay's legally challenged dad wasn't ready to cede his place in the headlines just yet. Last weekend, Michael Lohan again spent some quality time with the boys in blue, who charged him with drunk driving after he crashed his car into a telephone pole in Long Island.

(With all that to contend with, it's no wonder Lindsay was forced to take to the hospital with "exhaustion" last fall.)

While one would think it would be in Michael Lohan's best interest to keep a low profile for the time being, the publicity-seeking papa apparently disagrees.

In an interview with ABC's Primetime Live airing Thursday, Michael Lohan dishes on his plans for a reality TV show centered on his divorce and brushes off suggestions that his bad behavior is hurting his daughter's career.

"She's got more offers than ever now," he said. "Don't they say any publicity is good publicity?"

In that respect, Michael Lohan may be correct--the Mean Girls star certainly doesn't seem to have much downtime and per her rep, Leslie Sloan, is "doing fine."

"She's hard at work in production," Sloan said. "Her family is visiting her."

The 18-year-old starlet is currently attached to numerous film projects, including Fashionistas and Gossip Girl, both expected out later this year. Her next film, Herbie: Fully Loaded, will be released June 24. Meanwhile, her debut album, Speak, was recently certified platinum.

i think most of them are jealous of their kids and just want the attention that their kids get. and on top of that her father wants them to be miserable 'cause they don't want anything to do with him. its a typical abusive/possesive relationship.

I completely agree...It's sad cause the kids always suffer for it later...When they get older they start messing up their own lives because of this kind of trauma...disbelief

That girl should really have him....no you....taken care of...and with his bad behavoir, it would easily look like an accident. Now I realize there are worse things that a parent can do to their kid, but I think if you have a child, who is out on his or her own and making a living, let alone in a high profile career, you are a selfish asshole and really need help. He is like a fucking child and should be ashamed of himself, and I'm not a Lohan fan or anything (and if this was one of my girls Hilary Duff or Raven, I'd be angry as hell with the prick and kick his as myself). Now if he has truly threatened her and the family, it's time to go back to jail and stay there. He's probably dangerous!
