Star Wars Trilogy DVD

I was thinking of buying this. Which version is better? widescreen or fullscreen? and how do you like it?

Widescreen of course.

Why watch only half the movie in full screen? They wasted money producing a full screen set.

The set is OK, just don't expect the theatrical version. He tinkered with this set up until it's release.

The biggest scam is at the end of "Jedi."

Anything other than widescreen is blasphemous!

Don't you just love those people who see a widescreen movie and say "Hey! They cut off the top and bottom of the movie!" lol

Randall: "Which do you like better? Jedi or The Empire Strikes Back?"
Dante: "Empire."
Randall: "Blasphemy!"
Dante: "Empire had the better ending! Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. That's what life is: a series of down notes. All Jedi had was a bunch of muppets."

I'd say Ep IV. I mean, it forever altered my worldview. To a six-year old in the 70's, it was like the Lone Ranger, The Superfriends, and Buck Rogers wrapped into one.

Empire, hands down. It has the best dramatic tension, oodles of character development, lots of action, the first Vader vs Luke lightsaber duel, the introduction of Yoda, fantastic pacing, the best acting and dialogue of the series and the biggest shocking twist in a film EVER!

I can definitely see your point. I was six when Episode IV first debuted (back then, it was simply Star Wars!) and it totally blew my mind. It became a favorite series throughout my life.

nod
...and nod to MrJoker's statement as well...I own Clerks...lol

but...let's not forget that The Fett makes his first live appearance in Empire (as opposed to first appearing in cartoon form in that horrific X-Mas special)...
Milestones galore in Empire...

I ALMOST put the Fett thing in, but really didn't want to get into the whole thing about the Holiday Special! I figure folks have paid their therapists good money to block that thing out!

I'm fairly certain that's what led him to create Jar Jar in the first place! Completely lost it over the Holiday Special!

Indeed.

It might have been Empire had my next-door neighbor read the book before it came out and told me what happened! I'm still mad at him behind that.

I'm gonna wait until Lucasfilm puts all of them out at once.
