I hope so, cuz the Harlin version sucked.

I thought they were supposed to release the verison that wasn't in theathers on DVD, not that I really care either way since I didn't see it. Or maybe they were going to have both verisons on two discs, sold together, but it doesn't look like either is happening. The Harlin verison is supposed to come out next week here.

I hear there is an SS-officer in this movie. Is the role memorable? Is it still in the movie at all?

Am I mistaking movies? The Excosrist Prequel movie. It was supposed to go back in time, one part playing in the Second WW.

Wrong movie?

You've seen it? How's the part of the SS-officer?
Blonde guy. Might be wearing a hat.

Searched for a pic, this is the only one; Antonie Kamerling plays Officer Kessler.

Save your money, Excorcist:The Beginning was awful. The worst is that goofy scene at the end where she's running down that tunnel for what seems like forever.

I don't even see it listed on the IMDB. How are they going to pull that off. Call it "The Exorcist: The Beginging Verison 2"? Stupid as hell!

Schrader's EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING To Screen In Brussels!
Hey folks, Harry here with some hopeful news regarding Paul Schrader and his film, EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING. Now - the shitball film directed by Renny "TB-hack hack hack" Harlin was shoved down our throats domestically... despite the fact it had terrible character work, mediocre story technique... but a few moments of scares. Evidently Schrader's version was shelved due to it being a quality film without a ton of cheap jump scares. Cuz god forbid a director make a real movie. I mean, Billy Friedkin's original was such a scare-fest from beginning to end. [end sarcasm] That Schrader's film is being screened at Brussels Fantastic Film Festival means a couple of things. One: There's a film print that can be screened. This is extremely good news. Two: It can be seen. Originally we were told we'd be getting this film on DVD joined at the broken hip of Harlin's. Perhaps if word is solid on Schrader's version... we can do better than that!

The one released was awful. I had actually read that it was going to be made years and years ago. Finally it came out. AWFUL!!!!!
I'd like to see the first version.
