It happened again today, my life was changed because of art. Today I saw Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi on cable. My mind was blown and my perception of filmmaking has been completely broadened. The visual, editing and sound was mind blowing. Has anyone seen this film or the entire Qatsi Trilogy ? What other films are like this?

i love the qatsi films - i saw 'koyaanisqatsi' for the first time when i was in high school - my mom and i had a habit of going to a video store across town that specialized in 'cult' and 'art' films, and we'd just pick whatever looked weird or interesting, and that movie blew us both away.
the other two movies are worth seeing, but they're not as powerful. 'powaqatsi' moves kinda slow but it's beautifully photographed, and the third movie is faster paced, but a lot of it is computer animation. all three are out on DVD, and you can get the first two movies bundled together for a fairly inexpensive price.
