I think that the fact that the angle of the horizon is off gives it movement.

You picked up on that... nod...I went to correct the horizon, but it became static and a little more picturesque and literal, instead of telling a story...I wanted that feel of it being from the view of a sole(soul) person experiencing this, with us seeing everything thru their eyes...

I think you accomplished what you set out to do. It's funny, I usually can critique art in all it's forms and be somewhat acurate, although I know art is very objective. I JUST WISH I WAS CREATIVE!!!!! Hahaa!! I guess I can't have it both ways.

If you don't mind I'm keeping it as a jpeg.

Of course I don't mind.. smile And you're perceptive in your critiques, at least of this photo... nod I took several on that evening while at this field...this one was the only one I didn't use a tripod for, because I wanted a different feel, one thru the eyes of a person instead of thru the eye of a camera...(I may be using this photo, among others, for reasons beyond the desire to capture and express my mindset at the time...I won't say anything as so not to jinx it..lol).

"The Reflecting Skin"

What's this about??...

I have no idea! lol I watched this movie about 8 years ago and I couldn't figure it out. I will say it's very David Lynchish, so that may explain things. I did find a summary online. biggrin

Plot Summary for
The Reflecting Skin (1990)

A young boy tries to cope with rural life circa 1950s and his fantasies become a way to interpret events. After his father tells him stories of vampires, he becomes convinced that the widow up the road is a vampire, and tries to find ways of discouraging his brother from seeing her. He must deal with an abusive mother, a father with a charge of molestation, a band of youths creating havoc, and an unforgiving environment in general.

...How does it make you feel??

It makes me feel like that night I drank too much, ran from the police and tried to hide in a field, was caught on camera by the show "Cops" while they draged my ass back to the police car, all during a thunder storm!

This was basically my view as they carried/pushed me back.
