Harlepolis	Praise The Lord,,Praise The Lord!!!! Say ayyyye(ayyyyyeee) oooohh(oooohhh),,,, OMG,,,I swear that I jumped screaming from my seat and spilled hot coffee all over my table and I still didn't care I am really happy for my brotha,,,,cute daughter too(didn't know that he's an old father). Congrats Jamie, congrats Morgan and congrats Kate!

I have to admit, it was surreal seeing Wanda from In Living Color and the star of Booty Call win an Oscar. But I was very, very happy for him and he gave the best acceptance speech in recent memory.

But I was HAPPIEST when Morgan Freeman won his.

Think about the last 10 years.

Cuba winning for Jerry Maguire.

Halle winning for Monster's Ball.

Denzel winning for Training Day.

Freeman winning for M.D.B.

Foxx winning for Ray.

actors and actresses like Cheadle, Okendo, Michael Clarke Duncan, D. Hinsou, Will Smith, et al. getting nominations.

I'm not saying Hollywood has rectified itself, but these are encouraging signs.

Harlepolis	Funny that you're mentioning In Living Colors, NP! I was thinking about Wanda when she sang with En Vouge & Luther Vandross during his whole speech And we have brotha Keenen Ivory Wayans to thank for

As I said on another thread, the later seasons of ILC were in many ways better when Jamie came on board because the writing sucked after the Wayans left, and Jamie, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, and the twice-snubbed-by-the-Academy Jim Carrey had to improvise a ton to make it work.
