Obtaining copyrights -- How? I have written some material. I want to build a website based on my material. How do I obtain a copyright? | |

You already have a copyright simply by the fact you wrote some material.
All you need to do is make sure you could prove that you wrote it before anyone else. Post it to yourself and leave it unopened and I suggest using a website like http://www.worldwideocr.com to be on the safe side. Depending on where you live there may be other options such as depositing a copy with a bank or lawyer. | |

Get it registered at the US Copyright office to have it legit. Get the address and form online then mail it in. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "
