While I thought the initial tone of this thread was rude, as a "contestant" I don't really care if the mixes are shared early. But I will abide by the decisions of the "judges"

Then again, I just found this a fun/cute way to play on the Org and wasn't all too concerned with "winning"....

Thank you again apples for organizing this and to all of you judges for taking the time to listen to ALL of this music

Apple, thanx for working so hard at keeping things organized...I think everyone that participated should get a pat on the back for even trying and doing so well at what they made...its not about who is the best or who is the coolest...its about music and sharing a bit of yourself by putting a piece of you into what you make and share...music holds no grudges or wants to be the cause of any grief, its something that just wants to be enjoyed and mean something to each individual that it reaches, and it doesnt care who listens to it or who doesnt it just wants to make an impression and if it does then its succeded at its purpose...so everyone should stop worrying about how long this thing is taking or who said or did what and lets get it back to being about fun and music!

we were told that we couldnt share our mix until after the 14th.... so, we waited until then... yes, my name is on that thread, but trust me, there were others that had the same thoughts

when a contest is given a deadline, thats what its there for.... its a deadline... so, if you dont make it in by that time, i guess you didnt want to be in the competition to badly now did you ???? thus the reason why others gave up time and energy to get it done on time. the point is... i dont care if you disqualify me it doesnt matter... i wanted to have fun with making a cd, and i did then it turned into a thing of... no send me a hard copy instead and frankly, it seemed more of an organized gift giving session than anything

you asked us to wait till the 14th... we did that... do what you want with my entry, i dont really care at this point... as far as PT goes, those were handled by pro.. and it was my understanding that he had spoke with the folks that he held the links too and it was an agreement that we all felt the same... PT, im sorry if you didnt fit in that group - and perhaps if you want to still be in the competition they will allow it

None of this would have happened if althom kept his mouth shut. He started all this. The download links were sent to him and replied after this by saying “Send me the CD in the mail” which left a clear sign of negativity, meaning:

- Send me the CD or Else?
- I am not going to download and listen to your shitty theme
- Sorry but you lose

If those 7 contestants are disqualified and then, althom should be removed from the judges panel… fair is fair.

It was a great idea to create a contest like this but the selection of judges was very poor and why were some of people with dial-up connections picked? Those 7 people had nothing to lose by sharing their mixes to the public because there no prizes to be won and each of those contestants proved they have balls to come out with this and to me I think they’re all worthy winners. After all, they did obey the rules and the links were shared on Feb 18 which was the second closing date.

I agree to be a judge (and I am one) one should listen to all the mixes (and I am and think the others will also. Why should I think otherwise?).

Besides,only one of the disqualified contestants asked to be re-admitted and he was.

I only just received Case's CD in the post today. I swear to God. It was in my mail when I got home today.

I've listened to all the mixes I've received in the post or via links. Sorry if it seemed like anybody was being ignored.

I'm so confused

Well, it's all in good fun. I see nothing bad in sharing the links and all I hope is that people like them and enjoy the choices
