What is/are the last DVD(s) you bought.

I just went on hit and run shoppping spree at Hollywood video and grabbed three recently released previously viewed DVDs that I wanted badly. I know that these are movies that people either love or hate and I love two of them and really like one. The movies I bought were "Catwoman" (the one I really like, but wouldn't say I loved), "Harold And Kumar..." and "Neoploean Dynamite". Sweet? Well I like them. So what are the most recent DVDs other orgers have bought around here?

It wasn't that bad! It was weak acting but the story wasn't that strong but it wasn't the worst superhero movie ever (a tie between "Daredevil" and "Batman and Robin"). It was good but I understand why people hate it, I guess.

I actually saw "Saw" (giggle) at the video store and the funny thing is that the video box is much more distrubing than the ones I've seen in the ads! In the ads, it's just a saw...the box at the video store (a family video store at that) had a green leg and hand on the box! Gross!

And what the hell is the deal with Andie McDowell? Why does she make Anxiety so vomitous?

Well I'm addicted to Netflix now (I get 3-4 movies a week) so I haven't actually bought any DVDs in the past month or so. I used to buy them like candy and I've runout of room.

QUICK PLUG: Netflix rocks!

So anyway, the last DVD I bought was actually the 20th anniversary edition of FOOTLOOSE (it includes a commentary by Kevin Bacon, how could I resist?) and the season 1 DVD set of Charlie's Angels (I always wanted to be Jaclyn Smith).

I know there have been previous threads about that doc, so there's probably nothing further that needs to be said about it...so I'll just say that it was really, really something - that movie stayed with me for a long time.

The last DVD I bought was a cheap Korean copy of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls...and I also picked up Logan's Run in a discount bin (sue me - I have a weakness for trashy seventies sci-fi).

I'm not sure if there has been any threads or not...but I agree with you, it's one powerful and rather haunting documentary.. nod

Good choices. I've never seen that cover for "Galaxy Quest". Very underestimated movie that was unfonunately released on Tim Allen's downslide. By far his best. What do people in Europe think of him and his movies. I've never liked him but that movie changed my opinion of him slightly. In America, he was huge for the longest time. That new movie Chirstmas movie might have helped being him back to the boring family pick audience again.
