is there one for people who want the show to stay cancelled?

giggle

on a serious tip..i hated what whats his nuts (the executive producer) did to the star trek serious...i loved them all until Voyager...and I loathed this new show....so with this in mind hear this out:

the day i read online that the show was being cancelled i immediatly called my stepmom who is a star trek junkie...we have been arguing for years about the quality of star trek...she acknowledges the weak parts of Voyager and Enterprise but says she still appreciates..Well, I saw the cancelling as final proof that I was right...So I called her and told her. CANCELLED!! Cancelled I laughed....She was speechless.....She then said I was joking...I then felt two inches tall....She kept saying, "no no..."....then I shifted into serious mood and read the aintitcool article...Then I made an excuse to get off the phone..She said goodbye and that she felt like crying..I then felt like an ass....

so, with that in mind..I shall sign the petition for you lilgish..and for my mum..

thumbs up!

didn't Enterprise mess with the all ready established back history of the StarTrek timelime?

Reincarnate

I'm with sosgemini on this one.

I didn't really give Enterprise a chance, to be fair, but I couldn't get into it so haven't watched most of them. I won't miss it, even though I class myself as a Star Trek fan.

I haven't seen all episodes (our TV stations are about one year behind) but I have really come to like this show now! It is by far bettter than Voyager, and I even prefer it over DS9. In my eyes it comes closer to TOS than any other spin-off before.

And well... about messing with the timeline of the ST back history... it's trying to build a bridge between our present time and the generations of Kirk, Picard & co... and I rather think it tries to SAVE what can be saved, considering many small and major mistakes and flaws from the past, things the creators of TOS could not predict in the 60's

So yes, I will sign the petition: there are so many unanswered questions out there and inquiring minds want to know! Cancelling now seems like a coitus interupptus to me confused

I'm a Star Trek nut, too, but I'm kinda glad it's being cancelled. This is a message to TPTB that THEY do not know what's best for Star Trek fans. Maybe if they would have listened to the fans to begin with (I wanted a Captain Sulu series, myself), they wouldn't have lost their core fan base. Imagine if you had a person who was not a Trek fan and was curious about the show, but then they talk to their friend who is a hard-core Trekkie who tells them the show is crap. The non-fan is probably not going to be watching the show because they're basing their decision on what they believe is a good source of information for that topic. The moral: don't piss off your fans. (We know about that being that we're Prince fans, right? heheh)

On the other hand, they seemed to have gotten things right this last season, but with the prior damage done and being moved to a crappy time slot, they effectively killed it.
