Milty I'll try to find some loquats if you'll try pine nuts or Alouette garlic and herb cheese or Nutella.

Meanwhile the word "loquats" is reminding me of "loquacious" which got the mental picture of talking fruit stuck in my head.. Do you bake? no but i'm willing to start Brown Rice Bread From cooks.com Ingredients 1 pkg. Yeast 1/4 c. honey 5 c. whole wheat flour 1/4 c. vegetable oil (olive oil is good and healthy) 1 1/2 tsp. Salt 1 1/2 c. cooked brown rice at room temp. (usually that will be ½ cup uncooked and 1 ¼ cup water) 3/4 c. unbleached white flour for kneading (or just use wheat- tastes just as well and healthier) Cornmeal Directions Pour 2 3/4 cups lukewarm water into large mixing bowl and stir in yeast. Set aside 5 minutes to dissolve, then with wooden spoon stir in honey and 3 cups wheat flour. Beat vigorously 1 minute. Cover with plastic wrap in warm spot 30 minutes or until double. Stir in oil and salt. Add brown rice (you might add a shredded carrot at this time); beat in last 2 cups wheat flour, 1/2 cup at a time (a stiff dough). Turn out on floured board and knead about 7 minutes adding flour as needed to prevent sticking. Form into ball and place in oiled bowl, turning to coat with oil. Cover with plastic wrap, let double. Sprinkle baking sheet with cornmeal. Punch down dough and knead briefly on floured surface. Divide in half and shape into balls (flatten during baking- most likely this means open the door of oven). Place them diagonally on opposite corners of baking sheet, cover loosely with plastic, let rise. Slash across top. Bake about 45 minutes in 375 degree oven. Cool on wire rack. Serve hot with margarine and/or honey or dipping sauce, etc. It's fabulous and people always love it. Another healthy, very tasty recipe: from http://bread.allrecipes.c...nNtBrd.asp INGREDIENTS: 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup honey 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 cup mashed bananas 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 cup hot water 1/2 cup chopped walnuts ----- DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). In a large bowl, beat oil and honey together. Add eggs, and mix well. Stir in bananas and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Add baking soda to hot water, stir to mix, and then add to batter. Blend in chopped nuts. Spread batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack for 1/2 hour before slicing. Allrecipes.com is great. They also have a fantastic eggplant parmesan which you bake so it's healthier than fried. http://vegetarian.allreci...rmsnII.asp Oh and this is really good too http://vegetarian.allreci...insMjd.asp (I make it with brown rice- but you have to change the cook time for that because brown rice takes longer than white.) And this http://salad.allrecipes.c...oSalad.asp (Sweet potatos are a wonder food- very very healthy) And this http://vegetarian.allreci...ndwich.asp Damn I need to get back to cooking I miss it. I've been too busy lately. [Edited 2/14/05 15:26pm]

What's the difference between the two? I honestly don't know When I was little we had a comquat tree so I ate them all the time. We bought loquats sometimes, so I knew there were 2 different "quats" but I don't remember the difference
