*Chocolate emerged as a favorite Valentine's Day treat for both sexes to give their sweethearts, but the survey found different preferences for men and women on which types of chocolate
*Men picked specialty chocolates such as truffles, pralines, and caramels as the sexiest candy to give (25 percent of men compared to 23 percent of women)
*Women picked milk chocolate as the sexiest candy to give a spouse or significant other on Valentine's Day (25 percent of women compared to 20 percent of men)
*Men's second choice was for sexiest candy was dark chocolate (21 percent of men compared to 18 percent of women)
*White chocolate came in fourth place for both sexes (eight percent of both men and women)

Question #2: Which is the most romantic place to share candy with a spouse or significant other on Valentine's Day?




*Men and women agreed that the most romantic place to share candy is in front of the fireplace (38 percent of men and 39 percent of women)
*Women's second favorite place to share candy was after a nice dinner (19 percent of women compared to 17 percent of men)
*Men were more likely than women to prefer sharing sweets in bed (17 percent of men compared with 12 percent of women)


Question #3: When is it most ideal to present a spouse or significant other with Valentine's candy?



*Both men and women agreed first thing in the morning on Valentine's Day (men and women were tied at 32 percent)
*More men than women chose the day before Valentine's Day (eight percent of men compared with six percent of women)
*More women than men chose after a nice dinner at home (33 percent of women compared with 28 percent of men)
*Only one percent of all respondents felt it was appropriate to give candy before breaking up, however, men were twice as likely to select candy as parting gift (two percent of men compared with one percent of women)

Sorry PT sweetie, but this TOTALLY just took all the romance out of Valentine's Day.

Not that it matter for me. As it is, I'll probably be buying flowers for myself on Monday.
