I think it's equal.
I've known several women who cheated on partners. I have a girlfriend who has cheated on every guy she has ever been with. 
I can only think of one guy I know who told me he cheated on his partner. And most of my friends have been guys. | |

Both sexes cheat.
Just for the record, though, out of the 5 more meaningful relationships I've had in my life (I'm not counting any casual/"a few dates" type situations here), 3 of those guys cheated on me. I have never cheated on anybody. But I think the guys who cheated on me DON'T represent guys in general or prove any point about men cheating more than women....I think those guys represent the poor choices I made in guys during that time of my life. I **picked** the type of guy who was a cheater and/or a liar and I was the one who stayed with them and allowed them to treat me the way they did (I suspected the cheating and would willingly swallow the "Oh no! I would never cheat on you!" crap I'd get when I'd confront the guy/s about my suspicions). Cheating isn't an issue that can be tied to gender. WHY the cheating is done, I think, is different between men and women - GENERALLY SPEAKING. But cheating, on the whole, is very subjective and the reasons why someone cheats can really only can be attributed to the INDIVIDUAL CHEATER and their own personal character and integrity (or, technically, their lack of such). | |

I would think maybe he thinks you're a dude but then he continued on to ask if you were a feminist. I suppose a man can be a feminist, technically speaking, but I assume most people equate "feminist"=female. So I don't know what he meant!
