I'm baking you a special cake for Valentine's Day.


Cocoa-Cola Cake

1 c. butter or margarine (softened)
2 c. all purpose flour (sifted)
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 T. cocoa
1 t. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. carbonated cola

Combine all ingredients except cola.
Blend at low speed of electric mixer then beat 1 minute at medium speed.
Add cola & blend well.
Pour batter into greased & floured 13x9 inch cake pan.
Bake in moderate oven (350º) 40-45 minutes or until wood pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on rack 30 minutes before spreading with cocoa-cola frosting.
Frosting

1/2 c. butter OR margarine (softened)
3T. cocoa
1/3 c. cola
4 c. confectioners sugar (sifted)
1 c. pecans (Chopped) if desired
Combine all ingredients except nuts, beat smooth, stir in nuts.

That sounds yummy...someone has to make it and let me know how it goes...although...the recipe only states carbonated cola...you could always use PEPSI
