So despite the fact that I never used to think of myself as a girly girl, I keep proving to myself time and again that, indeed, I am.

I innocently stopped at Target today to pick up toilet paper and light bulbs. Before I knew it I'd spent over $100 on stuff I do not need!! The store was full of red and pink and valentine's stuff and due to my weakened emotional state I found myself throwing a bunch of stuff in my cart. Apparently in a matter of 20 minutes I subconsciously decided to be my own valentine today cause when I got to the checkout I discovered I'd loaded up with some sexy new underwear, cute silk pajama bottoms, a box of yummy chocolate truffles and (this is the girly kicker!) 2 seasons of Sex and the City I haven't seen in a while and I don't already own. But at least they were all on sale.

I will not go shopping depressed again.

I engaged in some retail therapy the other day too. Totally can't afford it.

I got soap and lip gloss and little vday gifts for a couple of people (curse The Body Shop! curse it!), and a teddy bear and blankie for a newly pregnant friend, and while I was out I had dark chocolate covered graham crackers and a latte for "lunch". While I looked through the new Rolling Stone featuring Johnny Depp.


Lady, sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Plus, it's UNDERWEAR and PJs. It's PRACTICAL. You need it. Sort of like my Sugar and Spice shimmer soap! PRACTICAL!
