omg! I'm SUCH a girl!

So despite the fact that I never used to think of myself as a girly girl, I keep proving to myself time and again that, indeed, I am.

I innocently stopped at Target today to pick up toilet paper and light bulbs. Before I knew it I'd spent over $100 on stuff I do not need!! The store was full of red and pink and valentine's stuff and due to my weakened emotional state I found myself throwing a bunch of stuff in my cart. Apparently in a matter of 20 minutes I subconsciously decided to be my own valentine today cause when I got to the checkout I discovered I'd loaded up with some sexy new underwear, cute silk pajama bottoms, a box of yummy chocolate truffles and (this is the girly kicker!) 2 seasons of Sex and the City I haven't seen in a while and I don't already own. But at least they were all on sale. giggle

I will not go shopping depressed again. redface

Never go shopping depressed.

Impulse buying then is the worst you can do.

You can get some cool stuff but your bank account suffers.

Always good to spoil yourself though-and they were on sale, which somehow makes everything better, doesn't it?

Hope you're feeling better Carrie.

Don't feel bad. I do the same thing.

Recently I went to Kohl's and unfortunately walked past the clearance area. neutral The LAST thing I need is more clothes and jewelry (or makeup) but by the time I'd left I'd picked out a sweater, pants, a new purse and a necklace. Want to know why I 'needed' them? They were PINK. And I love pink and well...also I have no will power. On top of that, there were a pair of thong sandals I also wanted JUST BECAUSE THEY HAD A FLOWER ON THEM. sigh I couldn't get them that day but I'd be lying if I said I am not planning to go back and get them.

Another trouble area for me is Bath & Body Works or any store that sells yummy smelling lotions and bath stuff.

I say just accept it and celebrate your girly-ness! woot! And the truth is a new pair of undies or some silky pj bottoms or whatever can really help a person's spirit, I know - just a $4 cheap bracelet has, for me in the past, cheered me up and helped make a difficult day a little brighter. Don't discount the power of that!

BTW, you got some cool sounding stuff. biggrin

I think CD and DVD manufacturers have a big banner or something in their factories that say:

"Thank you Chris!"

Well, they should.

season 1 is kinda silly. season 2 is when it starts getting good. 3 was very good, 4 was a little silly, but moments were incredible, 5 ROCKED MY SHIT! can't wait for 6 and 7
