The night before a blood test

i'm off to have a blood test tomorrow (no it's nothing serious. just routine check up) and i wasn't supposed to eat or drink anything except water. but i've already had four unsalted crackers and two slicces of whole wheat bread.

do you think it might affect my blood test?

Best not to eat anything heavy...stick with water and some saltines at the most.

For some reason the enjoy torturing people.

Help if they spanked folks though...damn.

At least it's not a HIV test. The whole thing is so unnerving. The nurse will say something to calm u down and ease any worry, but then say things which make a positive result sound quite likely. I guess they get people in there all the time who go in thinking automatically that everything will be fine and then walk away with their lives changed, so they want to make u aware of the reality of it all. Scary stuff though. In the days before going I never really gave the idea that I might have HIV any realistic chance, but they must get that all the time. I didn't worry about it much until I got there and then the seriousness of it just does things to you. shake

yes it will ... they obviously want a fasting test otherwise they would have allowed you to eat. If they're testing for something like diabetes and you've eaten this morning, you will not get good test results and may have to do it again. Sorry sad
