ROFL!! I don't watch Dr. Phil but... (Barry Manilow!)  The topic is "are you pushing your kid too far?" & there's a family on here talking. Here's what we know so far about them:
The dad is obsessed w/ Barry Manilow music (plays piano, etc.)... The parents met @ a BM fanclub meeting... He proposed on BM's birthday... They got married on BM's birthday... They named their kid Barry... The son Barry now plays piano, loves Barry Manilow & sings his songs... The kid does competitions wearing a sequined vest & being very lounge-lizzard-ish... The entire family is incredibly cocky about Barry's abilities (great on piano, not sure about the voice)... They accuse others of being jealous... Their house has been vandalized & the entire family gets harassed... They want to know why young Barry gets bullied in school & how they can stop it.  Let me just say I don't think anyone getting bullied is a laughing matter at all  But if these people could be supportive & congratulatory YET somewhat HUMBLE, they might have an easier time.

The next family is raising a "super child"...
The kid is still being breast fed @ 2 years old!!! 
The husband sleeps on the couch while the mother & kid sleep in the bed!!!
They have "baby Einstein" videos for the kid to watch in the car, they own EVERY video... The kid (who remember, is 2) takes piano lessons, spanish lessons, sign language & swimming lessons... They don't allow anyone to babysit the kid for the sole reason that they don't want her to eat anything outside of her very strict vegan diet & they fear the other family members will sabotage it... They refuse to immunize the child b/c they don't want toxins in her body... They're still explaining themselves but can you imagine?? I agree that being concerned about medicines & diet is excellent, but they're putting this kid in a bubble. Imagine what she'll be like when she's around (gulp) average kids? She'll either uphold the intensity or hate her fucking parents!
