that's exactly what i was thinkin...he was a man first and foremost, no matter what major role he played in a movie.

I see what you're both saying, and I can understand... I'm not taking the creators side but, after perusing their website, their whole body of work is based on comic book heroes.

Speaking as a fellow artist, I think their intent was to show that Christopher Reeve, made Superman important - not the other way around. At least, I hope that was their intent.

We should always remember him as a man, great actor, husband and father, as well as a champion of causes... than as a role he played.

The guys who sculpted this, are comicgeeks, fanboys... I have yet to see anyone else kicking in to create such a powerful tribute to Mr. Reeve.

Ditto, this is just a waxwork model of Superman for comic book geeks to get all wet over. Not a tribute to the actor.
