Really. After reading Gangsta's new New Order album thread, I put on New Order's Technique and filled the coffee machine.

WHen it's in the finalising stages of filling my pot of coffee, it makes these loverly sounds; it pruttles. Is that even a correct English word?
Maybe 'gurgles' is a better word. It's the sound the machine makes when it it emptying the waterbassin and puffs it up through the filter.

I love that sound. It means 'coffee is ready'. It also reminds me of being a small boy with a mother addicted to the stuff. It would mean 'get up'(I had my bedroom over the kitchen) or 'cookies' in the afternoon.

Lots of my friends these days have the fashionable new coffeepad machines, which I dislike. The coffee is drinkable, but all so standard. I like strong coffee. With a little snuff of Buijsman, a coffee extract that will keep the taste stronger when you run the water through the filter...

Anyways, is ready!

How about purrs, I like that word better. My coffee machine purrs like a cat

And the coffee I made is deliscious. I just plucked my tomcat Dexter out of the backyard, where he managed to end up with his entire white face covered in mud. He looked SO sweet....

Now he is sitting on the tele in front of the window, looking out.
