Hey All, Just want 2 give U a "heads-up" on an upcoming event that will b happening during the week-end of May 28th - 29th, 2005!!! Julian (from Julians Ride) just informed me ChiTown will b hosting the "PurpleFunk Fest", which in the past was known as the "Prince Fest". The "Fest", are normally held in Ohio so U can imagine how excited we were to find out this this year's "fest" will be in the Chicago area. The "PurpleFunk Fest" will b a gathering 4 Prince "fams" from all over...a time 4 partying (live music from Julians Ride!!!), meet and greet, sharing of Princely stories and collectibles... just a good time! This will also b the week-end of the The Berlin party, so we can all gather-up and head over 2 the Chicago NPGMC Party at the end of the "Fest"!!! It's cool that there will be some more Princely things to do etc. No cost has been posted yet and it's not exactly close to anything. i've been out of the loop for so long i didn't even know this was in the making (stupid education from this stupid university gettin' in the way of my org time  ). it reminds me that i really need to take advantage of prince night more often since i won't be in this city in a year's time. when i first moved here i was all "'m going to prince night EVERY month". i haven't gone in months!
anyway, it would be great to get a chance to meet a bunch more of you. it would also be really nice to see endo, carriempls, violett, gangstafam (hint hint guys) not to mention all the chicago orgers that i haven't seen in ages! | |

I am driving down.. my own car. sunday I'm gonna head into the city and probably stay at the chicago lodge...not the best hotel but it's clean, convienient and parking is free and the L train is right there and will drop me off right at berlins so I have no need to worry about parking. thoses room rates are about 80$ as well- well at least last year..... as for gettin into the city for berlins... I'm sure u can hitch a ride with one of us with a car- I've done that too. [Edited 3/9/05 15:36pm] | |
