Not trying to be a downer, but a word of advice: check with Berlin to verify they are still having Prince Night on May 29. I lived in Chicago for 6 years and was a (semi)regular at Prince night. When the last Sunday of the month falls on a holiday weekend they often do not do Prince night on that night. (Extra bummer for me as my birthday coincides w/Memorial Day and I could never celebrate at Prince night. ) But maybe since this PrinceFest is going on they will still have it. I would just verify with them.

Also, if you are looking for reasonable (approx. $130), clean rooms try the Comfort Inn or Days Inn, both on Diversey in Lincoln Park. (Not the Days Inn Gold Coast--it's no good.) They have paid parking, close to the El, 15(?) minute walk to Berlin and Chicago Diner, shopping, the park, etc.

PS. A biased suggestion since I used to work there: visit the Museum of Contemporary Art at 220 East Chicago Avenue! (Not open on Mondays, though)

That might not be a bad idea, KD. I stayed with a friend of mine when I went to Minni and everytime I wanted to go somewhere, he bitched about it. I will have tha Mistress and probably heybaby some part of my weekend but I'm always more than happy to pick anyone up.
