I consider many things worse to be honest, Surgery isn't my cup of tea, neither is elderly care i find mental health a difficult area too oncology is a challange, in some respects i think the areas you bought up are some of the nicer places to work I remember a friend of mine telling me that she had to go to a urologist because of having so many bladder infections that the scar tissue built up. He had to insert a catheter into her urethra and stretch it!!! I've had a lot of bladder infections in my life too...but, I don't care how much scar tissue I have...

It can be embarrising for both sides, but the benefits out weigh it. the most embarrising thing to have done at the urologist would be the bladder test where we fill you up with water through a catheter and then make you jump to see if you leak! but again the benefits and the fact that the healthcare professionals do it all the time (so have seen everything) make it worthwhile.

It's the embarassment factor too...I think I'd die from that far sooner than any pain from the catheter.

The midwife found it amusing when i asked "but do i really have to"
