Mary Poppins and St. Paul's

When I was little, Mary Poppins was one of my favourite movies. My favourite song from the movie then and even now was "Feed the Birds".

Last year when I was in the UK, I went to St. Paul's Cathedral. It's SO beautiful! Even though I knew there wasn't going to be any "bird woman" offering me bird food for 2 p. for some reason I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed when I didn't see her. Silly, I know.

It's funny how things we experience as small children -even seemingly insignificant things like movies -can shape our expectations of things.

Any thoughts or input on this?
