What makes someone decide to become a proctologist?

Or a urologist? What makes a man decide he should become a gynocologist? Don't get me wrong...I know we need these specialists and I, for one, am glad they have decided to do what they do (God knows we need them.)
But, what drives someone to be passionate about others pee-holes? Why would a man, who doesn't even have the same 'parts' that he's examining, want to be an OB/GYN? I can see the scientific interest in the functions of the human body...but, other than that I just don't understand it. shrug

I ask myself the same thing Apples! I can understand women wanting to become gyno's because they want to help their fellow women and understand the female body more. But urologists and proctologist? EW!!! It's gotta just be the science behind it that they are interested in.

It is easy big money to go into speciality fields that a lot of people are automatically turned off by. Not a lot of competition.

It's kinda not as bad as you would think!

I've worked for small periods in gynocology and urology and i enjoyed both hmm

I think there are far worse places to work in the medical field. And the thing

about working with bits your most familer with i think a man generally would

have more experience with vulvas than most women, i know i hadn't seen too many till i got on the ward.

If proctologists would just become politicians as well I think it'd save a lot of headache-quite an obvious connection.

I consider many things worse to be honest, Surgery isn't my cup of tea, neither is elderly care i find mental health a difficult area too

oncology is a challange, in some respects i think the areas you bought up are some of the nicer places to work
