Tuesday evening I got home from work, frazzled. But mostly upset because I forgot my GODDaughter's birthday on Monday.

As I am flipping through my palm for her number, I run across Richard's phone number.. (He lives in Boston)

Richard and I have been friends for 30 years.. You can say he is a confirmed bachelor.

It has been 18 years since I have talked to him. So I decided to call him.

He said "Lord let me sit down before I fall over.!"

We laughed so hard, and reminisced about our mutual friends.. About how they drug me to "their bars" and we danced forever. Just everything..

He knows everything about me. He never, ever forgets to say "I Love You."

It was so wonderful! Like we never had space between us.

Friends are priceless!

I am lucky to say I have a few friends like that as well. That no matter where we are in life or how long it's been we can pick up like no time has passed.

I am blessed with a number of them as well. Although sometimes it feels like more of a curse

I have to phone someone like that and i keep putting it off

My best friend and I are like that. We've known each other for 26 years. We get on each other's nerves every once in a while but we still call each other ALL the time. I know for a fact that we will always be in each other lives. I LOVE YOU FRANK. (just in case his lazy ass gets on the org.)

reminds me I should contact this girl I went to grammar school with and worked with her during our teen years. We even went to prom together.

She contacted me through schoolmates.com I was the reason she signed up...to look for me. We did connect a long time ago. Funny thing was I think she wanted to contact me because she ended up (?) gay too. But as she isn't the type to keep in touch, we only had a few exchanges. I feel bad because I haven't reached out. I should contact her soon.


I do though have friends that I don't speak with that often. Usually, I have to contact them...and normally, it's like not a day has passed.

Having friends like that is priceless. My best friend and I have been best friends since 1st grade And though she is only 2 or 3 hours away, we don't speak all that often. I have a life and so does she. But when she comes home, we always get together and pick up where we left off.

It's great to have friends who are there, even when you don't speak to them or see them that often

You know I have this friend that I was looking for forever..

I told this story before. In short she works in the same building as I, and as fate would have it we ran into each other.

Things didn't turn out like my own expectations would have them. But I decided that I knew things about her that nobody else did.

I could sense she was uncomfortable. Her memories of herself were hard to face.

And I understand this, and we say hello!
