Online Calendar of Saints Days! Here's a calendar that lists all the Saints Days throughout the year.
http://members.tripod.com...months.htm Here's February 5th (today. US time): http://members.tripod.com.../feb.htm#5 Abraham, bishop (of Arbela) Agatha, virgin, martyr Adelheidis, abbess (of Our Lady in Cologne) Avitus, bishop (of Vienne), confessor Ingenuinus and Albuinus, bishops Martyrs in Pontus Vitus, bishop (of Vienne), confessor Vodoald, priest, confessor I haven't heard of any of these people. Sure Agatha may have been a virgin martyr, but what has she done for me lately. If nothing else there's some potential usernames in there. What saints are on your birthday! (Mods feel free to make this a sticky or put on front page) (Ja says: "holla holla!") Ja-edit [Edited 2/5/05 14:46pm]

Piece of cake. The process must begin five years after the candidate's death. Local bishops investigate the life of the candidate and the findings are sent to the Vatican. After approval by a panel of theologians and cardinals, the pope proclaims the candidate is "venerable," meaning a role model of Roman Catholic virtues. The next step is beatification if it is determined by the church that the candidate is responsible for a miracle after his or her death. Finally, for the designation of saint, the church must certify proof of a second posthumous miracle.

I thought saints were not supposed to decompose normally either
i remember watching a documentary where some nuns were having a sister examined a long time after her death to asertain wether the nun was infact a saint.... they found her to have been diy embalmed ie slowing the decay process and who said nuns told the truth all the time little fibbers
