What ever happened to Doritos?

They taste so shitty now. They have gotten them SOOOO cheezey that you can't enjoy the flavor. I'd actually like them to come out with the original formula again. I never needed more cheese...or more ranch flavor...so why add it? ANd you get all that food coloring on your fingers...UGH!

See it's what you get when you mess with a true blue tried and true. And please for the love of all that is holy...bring back TACO FLAVOR!

We are twinsies!!! I have been saying this for the longest time to my friends. I just bought a bag of Doritos this morning and threw away more than half of them because they were encrusted with too much cheese!! I was telling my friend that they need to make Dorito's light nod And YES for the Taco Flavored Doritos woot! They have these things calle "Rollitos" and they are basically tube shaped corn chips and they had them in the Taco Flavor but nothing will beat just the regular Dorito chip in Taco Flavor drool

That's what I was saying too. A light version is really needed. Remember when tostitos first came out it was very lightly seasoned. Now they have those damn addicting hint of lime ones drool Does anyone NOT like those?

Man, I have been saying this FOREVER! I hated it in the late 80s when they became "nacho-cheesier". Then, a few years back, they went and made them "bolder". Shit, folks! They didn't need improvement, and they didn't need more cheese! Now its all just powdered cheese encrusting a chip I can't even taste. Pretty soon, they'll just remove the chip altogether, making them a bag full of cheese powder.

I have recently switched to the baked variety. They take a little getting used to, but they don't have as much cheese (and I actually like them better than the "improved" versions of the fried chips).

They should have stopped at the first "chesier" version but now it's like Michael Jackson's nose. So much has been done to it you don't even know what it is anymore! lol

Everybody knows you're supposed to stab other people with the old-style Doritos, but I remember that happening to me too.

Maybe there's a class action in this?

There was also a cool Monterey Jack flavor or something in a black bag?

The Taco Bell one was a favorite too-other than the Nuclear Orange Winter Extreme Ultra Cool Doritos.

The glow was part of the fun, I guess.

[i]They now have a flavor called Black Pepper Jack in a black bag. The cliams is a limited edition flavor. It's allright, not the best. They kind of taste like ranch chips.

I wonder if it's a modification-a friend of mine always talked it up so wanted to see what it was like.
