Alex Ross does it AGAIN!!!

The greatest artist/painter alive today, has once again captured some of the greatest heroes, from DC Comics!

Listed as preliminary art for a JLA series, there are great sketches and some full color paintings that can be found on his official website: www.alexrossart.com/report.html

This guy is too good for his own, uh... good!

Behold the artwork that brings these characters to real life...

Here's another Alex Ross/Jim Lee collaboration. This is the cover to the DC Countdown one shot, that is setting the stage for the New Crisis that is suppossed to occur this summer:

Fans are rumbling that the lifeless looking body that Batman's holding is that of Blue Beetle.
I can see why they'd say that, cuz he hasn't been used very much lately.
However, he is featured in some stories that date past "DC Countdown"...
Maybe, if we're lucky, DC will kill of the Bug-Eyed Bandit again...just cuz he sucks so bad that he deserves it...lol

what I really want to know about is this JLA series that Alex is supposed to be heading up come July (this year)...is it some kind of Super Friends thing?
on his site, he's got some updated designs of The Legion Of Doom (including a really kick-ass version of Toyman)...

Blue Beetle is suppossed to figure heavily in the "New Crisis" that "DC Countdown" leads into. The groundwork for that is actually starting in the current Batman storyarc.

Personally, I won't cry if BB bites it. Never been a fan of the character.

Sorta. Its a series "influenced" by The Challenge Of The Superfriends cartoon, but done with a serious tone. Its set outside of continuity (although, I have a feeling it may be establishing "history" for the new continuity DC will have at the end of the New Crisis). Classic characters like Barry Allen will be featured.

The new Legion Of Doom will feature all the villians from the cartoon, as well as several others (the team will outnumber the Justice League 2 to 1). Ross looks to take "hokey" characters (like Toyman and Bizzaro) and make them actual formidable threats.
