I feel.....like looking at something more interesting.
Hmmm, it does kinda evoke a certain fear, relating to the dark and in particular the murkyness of open water. "...because no-one gets there alone." - "...I like the floor. It's the only thing that seems real."

i feel like i could just sit and look and watch that unfold for the rest of the day.
i feel strength..the power of spirit and things that are larger than us...which make our problems and life seem so trivial and small. this picture make me feel like i can move on. vi

First thing that came into my head, from a holiday with my family years ago. Just a memory associated with a scene almost identical to this. I used to live in Fort Myers near Sanibel. The picture....it is great photography but sunsets always bore me. Maybe it's a product of having grown up in the Florida Keys but sunsets are no big deal to me and I don't particularly appreciate them.

I think everyone, everywhere, sees sunsets, hun...lol And living on the east coast, wouldn't you be seeing more sunrises over the water than sunsets??... lol Of course I mean supposedly "fantastic" sunsets on the water aren't really impressive to me. The Keys, especially the lower ones, tend to be fairly small islands (Big Pine Key, the one I grew up on, is the second-largest lower Key at 8 miles long and 2 miles wide) so you could easily see the sunset every evening. There's even a legend in Key West that if you look hard enough you can see a green flash at sunset sometimes. I think the main thing about sunsets is that they seem like a touristy thing to like... and I always hated tourists. While they're often the livelihood of places they go, they also tend to pollute and cause other problems. And be generally stupid and obnoxious. Not that any of you would be that way. P.S. I want to emphasize the fact that I don't mean to disparage your work. I think it's is a great photograph... I especially love the palm fronds framing the sunset. Very nice work [Edited 2/1/05 11:01am]
