There is a Deer Laying in the Woods Behind My House..... At first I wasn't sure what it was, so I opened my window and made a sound at it. It turned around to look at me, so I knew for sure that it was a deer, because I could see its face. I was worried that it was sick or something, since most times when I see deer, they are standing up or running. Turns out the deer must be okay, because it just stood up and seems to be okay. He/she also has a buddy out there with him/her, which is not uncommon. I've seen like 6-8 deer hanging out together at one time. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I had 3-4 of them in my yard the other night, right in front of my bedroom window
they are pretty neat, until they get on the roads

My friend hit a deer back when we were in high school so we used to start our emails as follows:
Deer Tony, Hahahahahh!

Sorry to disappoint, but even if I did have film in my camera, I would need a good telephoto lense (which I don't have either) to really zero in on the deer before taking the picture. The deer was not right behind my house, he was back in the woods a little ways. It would be hard to just take a picture with a regular camera, because the deer would not show up very well, and all's you would see is snow and a bunch of trees. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Solon has a very bad deer population, but Brecksville (where I live) does too. Every spring, they shoot some of the deer in order to thin the herd, which I think is sooo wrong!! It's not the deer's fault that they keep having babies, they just do what comes natural. It's ashame that they can't somehow have contraceptives for deer, so that way there would not be so many running around and destroying plants/trees, and causing accidents. I would hate to see the whitetail deer get wiped out completely, but I wish there was something that could be done. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Some park systems here give it to them in their feed. It's something you may want to look up and call your state Department of Environmental Quality about.

Thanks for the tip, I need to look into this further. Seems that I've heard something about contraceptives for deer that is put into their food. It sure would beat killing them, that is not the way to go. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

We had a fenced in garden in our backyard that deer would frequently jump into, but couldn't get out of for some reason. I guess they didnt have enough space to get a running start and jump out.
It was funny though when we would wake up in the morning, and they would just be standing there in our garden, kinda frustrated. I'd have to open the gate and run, because sometimes they would charge out. My mom also started putting traps in the garden, because the bunnies and squirrels kept eating all of our strawberries. Almost every day, one of them would get trapped, and they were PISSED. Pissed off bunnies are not fun, and their mouths would be stained red from all the strawberries they ate, it looked kinda scary...

I love deer, they're such beautiful creatures. i've even been told my dog has a face like a deer. It's so cruel to hunt them, I don't see how people can do that, and then to behead them, and display them for victory. It's just barbaric!
