I'm thinking of turning veggie

Yes, I just bought a bunch of vegetables and planning on a nice big sallad to compliment the juicy steak I'm frying at the moment biggrin Any good recipes for sallad and dressing?

i have been trying to stop eating meat for years and it has proved a lot harder than i thought.
i do but mostly non-meat items at the store but evey now and then i do crave meat but then again i am totally comfortable not eating meat at a friends house or a rezzo.

I'm comfortable not eating meat in front of people who have a problem with that. But I do like the taste, and I need my B-12.

Same here Milty. I LOVE veggies, peanut butter, SOY?, salads, herbs, health foods, BUT I HAVE 2 have MEAT every so often. Poultry, pork, liver & onions, pizza?, veal, etc. When I was married...my ex made hamburgers & hotdogs (his fav's) almost EVERY nite 4 dinner & preferred THAT 2 what I'd make, so I stopped cooking, smile & succumed 2 eating HIS crap. Not cool....Not healthy. However, since our seperation/divorce of 3 yrs. I now buy what I WANT and eat ONLY healthy foods, (mostly) no alcohol...which ages one real quick..., no hard drugs... another fast ager...low fat milk, lots of filtered water, juices, liquid diet meals, vitamins, minerals, herbs. What U put INSIDE ur vessel REALLY counts the most 4 being healthy & looking healthy & youthful. smile I believe one NEEDS meat at least 1-2 X a week tho. We NEED the fat in meat so our hair & skin dont dry out. The protein is better than in non-meat products with protein IMO. It also helps fill one up even at 1-2 X per week, bcuz just a veggie/vegan diet is not gonna stick 2 ones ribs & U end up eating junk foods etc., bcuz U get hungry faster. Maybe SOME ppl CAN do it tho...WITHOUT MEAT AT ALL. I cant YET... I work on it tho 2 eat as little meat as possible, but I DO like it 2. Good Luck 2 U all in being HEALTHY!!!
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

I found it very easy to eliminate meat from my diet. Chicken has been a lot harder. I allow myself only grilled and baked chicken, no fried.....but I make an exception for Ponderosa wings to go lol

15 Months without meat now and looking good! Well, at least I get hit on by tons of gay men at clubs. That must prove something, doesn't it?

There's no way I'm turning a veggie. Seems that no one really read the first post lol
Those vegetables were supposed to be a side dish to a juicy steak drool

I may cut down on meat, depending on who I live with, or what I can afford, but I do love my meat biggrin
